On September 30, 2025, SPACE was officially launched at the Koinadugu District Council Hall in Kabala, Northern Sierra Leone. Joined by district stakeholders, including the Koinadugu District Council Chairman, representatives from the Paramount Chiefs of Wara Wara Yagala and Sengbe Chiefdoms, community leaders, our Board Chairman, dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners, we presented SPACE to the very people it’s meant to serve. This wasn’t just a ceremony. It was an agenda-setting and bold declaration of purpose.
Our Founder and Executive Director, Yembeh Marah, had the honor of articulating our vision and mission and called on community stakeholders and members to embrace inclusive development.
We also unveiled our flagship Rural Education and Financial Inclusion Program, a self-funded initiative that will reach 1,000 primary school pupils and 500+ community members across three Chiefdoms – Wara Wara Yagala, Diang, and Wara Wara Bafodia – in Koinadugu District. This program is more than numbers; it’s about building a foundation that aligns with our vision and the needs of our communities.
This launch marks the beginning of a transformative journey. We believe that investing in education and advancing financial inclusion is not just a strategy, it’s a bold commitment to sustainable development.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood with us, especially the leadership of the Koinadugu District Council, for their invaluable support.
